Counseling for Friends & Family of People with Addiction

More often than not, addictions start with an experimental use of alcohol or drugs in social situations. And for some people, the use becomes more frequent. As time passes, a person may feel the need to use more of a drug to get their desired high, and soon a person may need the drug to simply feel “good.”

When we see this happen to a loved one, we do everything we can to help. But sometimes, our unconditional love simply isn’t enough.

If your loved one struggles with their use of alcohol or drugs, it may be time to consider counseling for yourself. Loving someone who is addicted is confusing, troubling and exhausting. Your own individual therapy can help you navigate your relationship with your loved one and your own role in their healing journey.
