Welcome!
Hi and Welcome! My name is Jana and I am an Associate Therapist with Inner Expansions. I provide sessions to individuals and couples in California through secure videoconferencing. I love that virtual sessions help relieve scheduling issues and commute times, offering the flexibility that busy people need!
I specialize in supporting women, adolescents, and college-age students facing life challenges and changes. Some of these challenges may include communication issues, anxiety, and depression. I help clients gain an understanding and insight on how they feel in a warm and caring environment.
I am passionate about helping people from all walks of life through I have a particular passion for working with military, first responders and their families. After spending many years as a military spouse, I now have a clinical focus on helping military spouses and the spouses of first responders. I bring an understanding and lived experience of the service life. I believe in working alongside you in the healing process and journey. I love to travel and I bring those experiences into my work, creating an understanding space and safe for everyone to grow and heal.
Education and Training
Jana earned a Bachelor's of Art's Degree in Physical Education from California State University, Fresno and worked for several years as an educator. She even taught at an international school in Thailand for 3 years and worked for the Department of Defense Schools in Germany. An avid learner, she then went on to earn a Master's of Arts in Human Services Counseling: Military and then a second Master's of Art's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Jana Yost is registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, APCC 15635. She is under the direct clinical supervision of Holli Rodriguez, LMFT 107627.
Jana's therapeutic approach can be best described as integrative. She pulls from different therapeutic perspectives to best meet the needs of the individual she is working with.
Insurance and Fees
Jana's fee per session is $145. She is able to bill CenCal directly for services under Inner Expansions Therapy Services. For all other insurance companies Inner Expansions can provide a Statement For Insurance Reimbursement (commonly called a "super bill") for you to request reimbursement from your health insurance plan.
