Hello All! It is a true privilege to continue to watch human beings grow in all capacities. I offer a space to process and grow via individual, couples and family therapy both virtual and in-person. My approach is illustrated through self-compassion, extended empathy and using the body as a form of information to make strides towards healing. In session, I fill the room with a sense of acceptance without judgement, and a vibe of curiosity, exploration and warmth.
I am an AMFT who is passionate about working with children and teens, people with neurodivergence, folks with marginalized identities, and those who have experienced or been impacted by intimate partner violence or sexual assault. Common themes that have been brought into session include, depression, anxiety, attachment challenges, life transitions, relational challenges, trauma and difficulties with race/ethnicity/gender/sexuality.
I use a handful of modalities to support and promote healing in a safe way. This includes TF-CBT, Somatic Therapy and I utilize a feministic and culturally informed approach.

Education and Training
Kianah earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Child Development in 2022 at the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Shortly after graduating with her undergraduate degree, she returned to Cal Poly and earned a Master of Science in Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy. Kianah has an extensive background and training in working with marginalized people and survivors of child abuse, domestic violence, and sexual assault. She is registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT 155472) under the clinical supervision of Amber Hollarman, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT 96963).
Insurance and Fees
Kianah's fee per session is $145. She is able to bill CenCal, Aetna and Blue Shield directly for services under Inner Expansions Therapy Services. For all other insurance companies Inner Expansions can provide a Statement For Insurance Reimbursement (commonly called a "superbill") for you to request reimbursement from your health insurance plan.
